P2C visited the Modern Art Gallery to take part in workshops about Eduardo Paolozzi, the famous Scottish artist. We looked at examples of Paolozzi’s work and what his studio would have looked like. We had to sketch interesting objects and ideas that we saw. We loved looking at his sculpture ‘Vulcan’ and the amazing ceiling panels inspired by Paolozzi’s love of music, especially jazz. Afterwards everyone had the opportunity to create a sculpture using pieces of wood and marker pens. It was an amazing day!
